CHALMERS PRODUCTION SYSTEMS LABRATORY

Chalmers perform research within metrology, flexible tooling and robotics. Chalmers invested in BoxJoint to quickly re-build their production laboratory between student projects, research projects and demonstrations. They have developed an impressive solution where the robot platforms are integrated with the jigs and fixtures.

MANUFACTURING TECHNOLOGY CENTRE

The MTC has purchased BoxJoint to achieve these vision:

“The Vision of the Tooling and Fixturing theme is to develop a collaborative environment where manufacturers, equipment suppliers and academia work together to advance and accelerate the introduction of tooling and fixturing technologies.

The theme aims to provide a competitive advantage to member organisations through the delivery of world-class Advanced Tooling and Fixturing at pace on a production scale, based on sound process understanding and innovative use of technology.”

AEROSPACE TECHNOLOGY CENTRE

Nottingham University has invested BoxJoint to be used in their newly build research facillity in Nottingham to achieve these goals:

  1. unique facilities for application-focused research (TRL 4-6)

  2. support application-focused, integrated research at a size & complexity not possible within any other UK institution

  3. house multi-disciplinary projects that build on our world-leading fundamental research

  4. provide space for large-scale demonstrators

  5. strengthen relationships with industry partners

  6. support integrated projects that evolve towards large-scale demonstrators

ADVANCED MANUFACTURING RESEARCH CENTRE

AMRC are making advanced robotics and tooling research for aerospace industry. They invested in BoxJoint for jigs and fixtures in assembly, machining, drilling and support structures. BoxJoint enables AMRC to experiment with different concepts.
